Maya's Story

We are so honored to be working with Maya on a headband collection to help raise awareness for childhood cancer! With September being Childhood Cancer Awareness month, this young sweetheart makes it her mission to do something to make a difference, and she reached out to us looking to put together a fundraiser -and we of course were all in.

About Maya

"Hi, Im Maya! Im 9 years old and in 4th grade. Every year since I turned 5 years old, I celebrate my birthday with a kindess project. Some of my past projects have included organizing a school supply drive, creating snack boxes for kids undergoing chemotherapy, putting together birthday boxes for kids and seniors, collecting and donating crayons to my local childrens hospital and building and running the first Little Free Pantry in my community. I love doing any little part I can in making my community a happier place.

I am excited to "band together" with Happy Badger Headbands to raise funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand through this amazing collection. I love that this amazing company donates a portion of each headband sold to helping families fight through a cancer diagnosis. I learned about how underfunded childhood cancer research is while my friend battled Leukemia. More research and funding is critical, which is why my family and I raise funds each September. Help me paint the world gold for childhood cancer awareness."

Proceeds from Maya's collection will go to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
